I was in the mood for a mystery and this hit the spot. A multi-layered story with interesting characters, a complicated setting, and an engrossing plot. There are nasty people, misjudged people, and people who refuse to see the truth, mixed with innocence, youth, and those trying to do good. I enjoyed this novel and ended up thinking mean people do mean things.
