An interesting graphic novel. I found I had a hard time getting engaged with the family, which was unexpected. I think that is the power of graphic novels...to pull you in very tightly with the combination of graphics and narrative. It is a well researched study of a family's history and flight from Viet Nam, with compelling graphics, I just wasn't as involved as I would have liked.
