I think I was expecting more from this book. One friend absolutely loved it. Hmm. The stories of NY in wartime, the divers and the docs were interesting, the gangsters and the family not so much. I was left with a lot of whys...why did Anna's father betray Styles, why did Styles get killed, why did Anna keep the baby...in fact, how in the world did Anna get the idea to be a diver. Glad I read it, not so sure it's a winner in my view.
