The Good Father -- Noah Hawley

"The Good Father" is a fast-paced examination of a life gone totally astray. Told from the viewpoint of his father, Daniel is not only an enigma, he is also a lens into how extreme violence can occur. A child of divorce, left alone, drifting, Daniel carries out a plan to assassinate a politician. At times the father's striving went a little too far, but on the whole a very interesting read...but may be somewhat simplified.
