What I Just Read - Mothering Sunday by Graham Swift
"Mothering Sunday"was an absolute lovely read. A little racy, a little nostalgic, a little philosophical, and above all, enchanting. Jay/Jane is quite the character. An orphan and a maid who grows to become a famous novelist. The story of her brief love affair with the son of a manor is both captivating and doomed. The moment when she is riding her bicycle on a beautiful spring day was fantastic. The underpinning of the impermanence of life adds poignancy. I loved it!
