The second book in the Ferrante Neapolitan was even better than the first. Such rich characters. This novel moved to more modern times, and spoke to me more. The divergent paths of the two friends is fascinating as well as enigmatic. Lila suffers in ways I did not expect, while Lenu achieves unexpected success as an author. Looking forward to number 3.
