"Just Kids" by Patti Smith was an interesting read. Being primarily a fiction fan, I am suspect of memoirs...but, I love Patti Smith! Her music, her look, her life and her philosophy. So, that said, I loved this book. Probably not for everyone, but I was fascinated by the stories of New York in the 60's, the scenes and the inspiration. I'm also a fan of Robert Mapplethorpe photography, so learning more about him was a plus for me as well. I'm glad I finally read this work and will certainly read her new memoir "M Train."
