A poignant memoir about injury, love, grief and pets. Abigail writes about a sad subject with a light touch. Her husband's devastating accident that left him with a severe brain injury, obviously changes their lives forever. I liked the tone of the book, but in some ways it felt a little hollow. We are not given any insight into how the family as a whole copes. I missed that. Still, it is a moving study in grappling with courage when faced with guilt, grief and pain.
