I loved this book, but I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just hearing Patti Smith's words resound in my head. So dreamy, but funny too. Smith wanders between dreams and reality, from here to there, with this person and that. Friends die, age moves forward, the dead are missed. But, in the end, through her 70th year, the Year of the Monkey, there is hope.
