Too much human interest, not enough mystery. Another book where I didn't really like the main character. Madeline “Maddie” Schwartz was a little too much for me...too ambitious, too clueless, and too selfish. Cleo, the lady in the lake, was too vague. I found it hard to believe or like Maddie, and hard to care about Cleo. I know there's a good mystery out there waiting for me.
