This may be the most intense graphic novel I have read. Karen is a riveting character...part teen growing up, part fantasy, part detective. Her complicated story of murder, the '60s in Chicago, sexual identity, family love and above all, intrigue, is mesmerizing. The art is ravishing. Old horror magazine covers, famous works of art, dreams, imagination and reality all weave together. Wow, I heard it was good, but this was extra special.
