All The Light We Cannot See -- Anthony Doerr
"All The Light We Cannot See" is such a beloved book, I feel odd saying it was not for me. The chapters were too short, the characters were somewhat wooden and I have a hard time with WWII as a subject. That said, the interweaving stories did keep my interest once I decided to commit and keep going. I really thought Werner and Marie-Laure would have more time together and was surprised that the novel ended in the present. I think I would have been happier if the story was tied up back in 1945.
