Well, for a book about a musical duo, this did not have much lyricism. Maybe this was the day the music died? While I was interested, the story of Opal and Nev never really moved me. Written in the style of a reporter (who is related to the story) researching an article, the novel dragged along, rather than sang. But, in spite of that, it did keep my interest. I just wish it had ended on a higher note.
