One of the oddest books I've read, and one that left me touched and cold at the same time. Lockwood's writing has been described as splendid and sordid, which sounds right to me. I felt as though I was doom-scrolling through parts of the book, skipping lines as though I was jumping through a twitter feed, but other times I found myself deeply affected. I didn't like the un-named main character when she was in her internet portal persona, but found her deeply moving in her love for her family. A story of personality, grief, love and technology. It reminded me that life is strange.
