Amnesty -- Aravind Adiga

This book was a little upsetting and somewhat disconcerting, but I think that was the point. Danny is a Sri Lankan illegal in Australia. He knows who committed a murder and struggles whether to tell the police and be deported or live with the knowledge. The whole book takes place in one day as he teeters around the city and through his life. I felt heartbroken by his circumstances, but never fully connected to his train of thought. I definitely had a sense of the difficulty of his life and current dilemma. An interesting read.
