Death in Her Hands -- Ottessa Moshfegh
This novel was disturbing and not quite satisfying. I kept thinking that there would be a moment of insight for Vesta, but alas, not the case. There was something unsavory about the story. Maybe that was the point. An almost mystery, almost sad memories, almost moving. The dog was the most likable character, and he was mistreated. As for the disappeared Magda...I really didn't care.
