Bel Canto — Ann Patchett

One of the best books I’ve read in a while. I was totally engrossed. Although the premise required some suspension of belief, the characters were grand. Roxanne the opera singer, Gen, the translator, and Carmen, the “terrorist,” leapt off the page. How can music,
horror and love mix so magically together. I loved it.
