What can I say. I really wanted to like this all the way through. But, it really got bogged down at the end. Ifemelu and Obinze were believable and sympathetic characters, but I was ready for their love to resolve. It was obvious they would end up together. I liked Ifemelu's time in America the best. At points the story was abrupt. How did her blog start making money, how did Obinze so quickly get rich? Still, I have not read many Nigerian authors and reading more broadly is a good thing.
