Gabriel -- Edward Hirsch

I knew "Gabriel" by Hirsch would be sad, sad, sad. And, I knew it would be beautifully written. And, I knew it would have me in tears at the end. Sigh. All that and more. It is a poem and so much more than a poem. An ode to a complicated young man taken way too soon.
