I read The Road by Cormac McCarthy a couple of years ago and it blew me away. Dark, dark, but so powerful. Just finished No Country for Old Men and again was overtaken by the darkness out there. I'm not sure if I will continue and read McCarthy's westerns, but these two novels have been stunning.
