The Candy House - Jennifer Egan

Quite the stunning ride. The Candy House is packed with characters, time periods and  tensions, and although at times I lost track of of who was who, the novel carried me along. It was hard to attach to any one character, but that really wasn't needed to follow the stream of questions about technology, memories, ambitions, and dreams. Sometimes a novel that sweeps you along for the ride is exactly what you need. Jennifer Egan succeeded in whisking me away from the everyday, and had me contemplating the connections between the past and the future.
