I read this for several reasons...it's been on The Millions Top 10 list for weeks, I had unexpectedly enjoyed reading historical fiction recently, and I wanted to try a mystery, a genre I had somewhat given up on. The book was ok. I'm not sure if I'll remember it in a week or two, but there was a nice atmospheric feeling of the late 1800's in England and it kept moving along. I'm not much into the supernatural, so the story of spirits being stolen was a little lost on me, but I enjoyed the characters and dialog. So there you go...not too bad, not too good.
