What a sweet read. I had never read a Colwin novel and now I understand why she is so loved. It's the kind of story that makes you go ahhhhh. Jane Louise is a bundle of nerves, but smart too. Teddy is depressive, but such a nice guy. And Edie, Mokie and Sven are all faulty, human and lovely. A reviewer said “Laurie Colwin’s beautiful final book, A Big Storm Knocked It Over, is funny and moving and rich with complicated happiness-a love story for anyone who tends to overthink things, a comic novel about trying to find a place in the world.” I totally agree.
