I'm not sure when the last time was that I read such a character centered novel, and what great characters they were. I understood and empathized with Annie, had compassion for Graham, and liked Sarah, Lucas and Freida...the rest of the family. As their life unfolds, and then as grief settles in after Graham's unexpected death, they are all deep and believable. I thought this was a great read.
