The Giant's House - Elizabeth McCracken

I've been wanting to try an Elizabeth McCracken book, but I'm not sure I'll try another. A sad and curious read. Peggy the librarian, and James the giant. Starting off, Peggy's view of librarianship certainly drew me in, but I'm not sure about the rest of the story. Poor James, who grows and grows and dies young. The book is called "a romance," and it is in a way, but an odd and disturbing way. Loneliness, individuality, curiosity are all given their due...and then James is gone and Peggy goes on.
