Glass Houses -- Louise Penny

I would not normally have started this series on the last book of a 13 book series. Even the author notes on her website: The short answer? It's not necessary to read previous books - but it is recommended. However, it was recommended for a One Book selection, so here I am. As I was reading I felt that I wanted to know the back story of Gamache. This book was recommended because of the drug trade angle, but I never really felt the experiences of addicts was made compelling. I liked Gamache, and may start back at the beginning, but for me, this one was just ok.
