This book was recommended and I had read about it as part of the Hatchette Amazon controversy that had it hyped by Colbert. Great start, as it went along, the writing was pretty juvenile. I find dystopian lit interesting, and have for a long time. But, the writing here was full of cliche...the female lead even calls her husband a "pussy" at a point. And, what happened to society? Never any sense of what brought us to this place. Oh well... it was on quite few best of 2014 lists and it did interest me. It is a first novel and reads like one.
