I can see why this book has been so popular, it is poignant and charming, has some unexpected plot twists, and brought tears to my eyes. On the other hand it's glib and manipulative. So, it was kind of ok and kind of not. I felt like I slogged through parts, and then got interested. The characters didn't really speak to me, personally, but they were interesting. I can definitely sell it in the bookstore, but I can't give it a rousing review.
